Different Colors

So after taking my mark to one of my critiques one of my professors suggested to change the background colors and values of the spray drips behind the compass. This is supposed to help the compass and bike stand out more and not get washed out with the paint.

NEW MARKS

So here are some new things that I've been working on this semester. I've done some re-branding for Utah Custom Christmas. This is their new logo and business system. I am also working on there website right now.

I have also worked on my own personal website and just need to upload it to a server. Still looking for the right host for me.

Then I have these proposed logo ideas for an outdoor adventure racing company. With outdoor racing you usually have running, mountain biking, kayaking/canoeing and compass orienteering. Also something that is a bit more unique to this particular company is that while the racers are completing there race spectators can watch painters, artists, and graffiti artists do pieces of art work for your entertainment and or purchase.

Another Semester

Another semester of school is coming to an end and yes one more to go. It is funny to think that there really is an end to my "student career". I have often chuckled thinking about all the very late nights (or I guess you could say very early mornings) and countless hours of staying in front of my computer, diligently working on various assignments, trying to meet desired looks, concepts, ideas and deadlines...I am now starting to see that my diligence is paying off.

I started putting together my printed portfolio. When I see everything I have finished I am happy to know I've accomplished some good things. Here are some of the works from my portfolio. I realize there are still many things for me to learn in order to be a good designer, but I feel that I understood some good concepts and applied them to my work.

Idea For Recording Studio logo

So its not finished but I like it. This is an idea for a small recording business/studio that my buddy has. The O in ROCK (which is his last name) has been turned into a symbol for both sound waves and an illuminated record/CD. His business obviously deals with recording, but it also offers customers to experience good sound by giving them an opportunity to rent his equipment for weddings, dances or events at a reasonable price.
